The CST is a partner in several events and festivals. This partnership can consist of providing technical expertise, logistical support or financial support, allowing the organization to achieve its purpose.
French Film Festival in Richmond, Virginia
Founded in 1992, the French Film Festival in Richmond, Virginia, is an annual event organized in the United States to promote French culture and films among the American public.
In 2003, it was acknowledged by the French Embassy as being the most important French film event in the United States.
Every year, the Festival screens a range of recent French films – shorts, features and documentaries – in the French language with English subtitles, which are all presented by their directors, actors, screenwriters, directors of photography or composers. The number of spectators exceeds 22 000 over the four days of the Festival, with an audience travelling from 42 of the 50 states in the U.S.
Every screening is followed by a discussion between a member of the film crew and the audience, in the shape of a Q&A session.
The Annecy animation film festival is the most important event in France concerning the animation sector.
The CST provides the technical support by validating and taking delivery of screening equipment at all the festival venues. (Bonlieu main theatre, Bonlieu small theatre, Pierre Lamy hall and the Paquier).
The Fête celebrates short films in a national event, open to all, in various convenient venues. To develop their distribution, the aim is for the greatest number of people possible to take an interest in short films, to understand and defend them.
Professional lectures and educational picture workshops – on VFX among other subjects – are programmed in 35 towns. This is a nationwide event.
The Fête du Court Métrage would be delighted for you to join its swelling ranks. Its offices have been on the CST premises since 2018.
Since 2013, the Paris Image Trade Show has brought together five events on complementary themes, with the aim of promoting the whole French audio-visual and film industry.
These events highlight visual effects at the Paris Image Digital Summit; décors and locations at the Paris Image Location Expo – Salon des Tournages; technological innovations in the film image field at the Paris Image AFC Events (AFC Micro-Salon and AFC Postproduction days); France’s place in the production and creation of foreign films at Paris Image Cinéma – Industrie du Rêve and its Art and Technique workshops and finally, lectures organised by Film France focus on all the professions and economic stakes in the film industry.
